Uterine fibroids
Uterine fibroids represent a significant health and economic problem for many women due to the high and increasing frequency of this disease in the population. The monograph presents a comprehensive view of this issue and introduces new diagnostic and therapeutic methods that fundamentally change the current algorithm used in clinical practice. The new findings respect the wishes of patients affected by the disease to preserve their reproductive capacity and, in particular, take into account the biological and mental integrity of these women. Since uterine myomatosis affects at least 30-40% of women of reproductive age, it is one of the most common problems that every gynaecologist deals with and is associated with high economic costs.
