Various: Compliments - CD

Lukáš Hurník belongs to the middle generation of Czech composers, his work synthesizes stimuli from rock music and classical music. This fact is mostly reflected in the composition Variations on a Theme by Frank Zappa. The compact disc captures several larger orchestral compositions performed by excellent orchestras and performers, including conductor Jiří Bělohlávek, Vladimír Válek and Tomáš Netopil. An interesting look at contemporary Czech music.
