Various: In the pension Svět - CD

The return of the legendary 1988 album!

At the time of its creation, it was a complete revelation: Petr Hapka's songs to Michal Horacek's lyrics became cult hits performed by guest singers. How else to describe Michal Kocáb's S cizí zhenou v cizím pokoji (With a Foreign Woman in a Foreign Room), Hana Zagorová's Love Letter to Hana Zagorová or Hana Hegerová's Berna minci (The Brown Coin), and Richard Müller's now evergreen Štěstí je krásná věc (Happiness is a Beautiful Thing), which is a completely essential song for the repertoire.

These melodies, lyrics, arrangements and interpretations are in the position of unforgettable archetypes for other works of the same authors, but actually also for the whole Czech scene, which can be described as pop chanson.

The original ten-song album is available with all the lyrics, with a sensitive transfer of the original LP cover to the CD and remastered and revised by Oldřich Slezák in studio conditions in 2007.

You know many of the songs as non-failing radio solitaires, but the original goal was to create a coherent, well thought out and polished album. Almost twenty years since the inception of the Pension World, don't miss the opportunity to confirm the enduring success of this venture.
