Various: Markéta Lazarová (2x CD) - CD

Music by Zdeněk Liška for the film "Marketa Lazarová" is the culmination of this legendary film composer's creative legacy. In 2015, the only concert performance of the ninety-minute oratorio, which Petr Ostrouchov compiled from the author's manuscript in strict chronological order and in keeping with the original instrumentation, took place at the Prague Karlín Forum as part of the Strings of Autumn festival.

Soloists Kateřina Kněžíková and Josef Moravec, actors Josef Somr and Jana Štěpánková, Martinů Voices was conducted by Lukáš Vasilek and Baborák Ensemble was conducted by Radek Baborák. The concert met with an extraordinary response and excellent reactions from professional critics, and now - three years later - its studio-edited sound recording, co-produced by Animal Music and Strings of Autumn, is being released as the first ever recording of this Liška composition since the original recording for film. The two-disc set with a richly illustrated booklet is released only on physical media.
