Various: Valmez 2004 - CD

The idea to compile a compilation of bands from Valašské Meziříčí is not new, already in 1995 the Monitor sampler Veselý hřbitov produced by Petr Fiala released. Four years later, the less conspicuous act of Valmez 99 followed. Sampler Valmez 04 is therefore a free continuation of this series. The music scene in Valašské Meziříčí is very diverse. When we juxtapose the straightforward brutality of the Elektrick Mann group and Lucie Redlová' s sensitive songwriting, the crafted jazz pop of Café la Maňana and the spontaneous hard rock of Ciment, the guitar bigbeat Rauše and the somewhat bar Roma pop Kandráčů, the folklore ensembles Docuku or Veselá misda Sbiraniko, Funk' s brigade and blues Harom - these are really significant differences. This album is a fairly faithful picture of the local music scene in its diversity and with all the pros and cons. 21 tracks and a total time of CD 78:49, a decent portion of music from Valmez.
