What is ironic science
Hungarian Bohemian scholar, literary critic, aesthetician, and university lecturer István Vörös is first and foremost a poet, although his prose and dramatic texts are also highly regarded both at home and abroad. He is an imaginative, playful, and unconventional poet. Naturally, he applies all these qualities to his academic reflections as well. He describes them himself as thought experiments oscillating between studies and essays, with continuous self-reflection and commentary on his own methods and achievements serving as key features. It is not for nothing that Vörös considers himself a postmodernist, as auto-hermeneutics is one of the fundamental traits of this phenomenon, along with the reinterpretation of traditional stories or conceptual frameworks. […] He works with deconstruction, or rather constructive destruction, and a fascination with traditionally contrasting concepts that correspond to the ontological opposition between the sensory and the intelligible, or between its variants (such as the written and spoken word, reason and madness, literal and figurative meaning, or masculine and feminine gender).
