The year is 1954, and a daily mail arrives at the local court in Berchtesgaden with an inconspicuous postcard sent to one of the judges on which a single sentence is written: "I'm alive and I'll be back soon. Adolf Hitler. "Is it really true that the Führer who masterfully manipulated the German nation and who was personally responsible for the deaths of 60 million people died in 1945, or did he manage to survive the Second World War? Could he not have been rescued from the burning ruins of Berlin and taken to safety in time? The documentary brings together previously unpublished audio recordings of interrogations, rare film footage and period photographs, and offers a completely new perspective on the top-secret hunt for Hitler through perfect reconstructions.
