Whitesnake: Slide It In - CD

Slide It In is the sixth studio album by the English rock band Whitesnake. It was released in January 1984 and was produced by Martin Birch. It was recorded the previous year at Musicland Studios in Munich.

The band originally worked with producer Eddie Kramer, but he was eventually replaced by Birch. There was also a line-up change during the making of the album. As a result, the UK version contains tracks recorded with a different line-up to the US version.

As part of the reissue activity, both variants are available in a newly remastered form. In an opulent 6CD/DVD box set, they are also supplemented by previously unreleased live and studio recordings, music videos and behind-the-scenes footage, as well as a newly recorded interview with David Coverdale.

After leaving Deep Purple, singer David Coverdale formed the rock group in 1978. Like Deep Purple, they were rooted in hard rock but placed a greater emphasis on catchy melodies. In the 1980s, Whitesnake recorded several albums that reached the UK Top 10, and with their self-titled 1987 album, they also managed to break through in the United States.
