Who stole my natural self?
What if our whole lives we've been searching for something we never truly lost?
This is a story about a girl who is trying to find her true, natural identity in life. She meets people who each represent a different form of ego, societal role, and knowledge. Everyone – from the Teacher to the Preacher – tries to help the girl, but they also try to convince her and shape her to fit their own worldview. None of them can help her, until one day she meets Nobody and, with him, embarks on an inner journey to discover her own essence.
The story is based on the author's own experience, which is described in the first chapter. His journey began with the need to address a mental health issue he suffered from in childhood, and later led him further, beyond the ever-changing psychological and philosophical theories that contrast with the unchanging essence of a human being.
At a time when our society is facing a wave of difficulties manifesting as inner turmoil, anxiety, stress, or incessant internal conflict, without us truly knowing why, this book, in its accessible, fictionalised form suitable for both children and adults, invites us to look beneath the surface of things we take for granted and to understand ourselves more deeply.
