A legal thriller from the Czech environment of wild photovoltaics
An unusual assignment takes successful Prague lawyer Petr Cihlář from the polished interiors of boardrooms to the remote villages of the Jesenik region. Accompanied by a demanding client and a handsome associate, he must complete a deal on which not only his employer's high fee but also Cihlář's own career depends. Barely waking up from another weekend trip to Prague nightclubs, he tries to navigate the events that include an unexplained warehouse fire, the death of a country bum and an unconnected solar power plant.
Meanwhile, in the borderlands between the flowering meadows and wooded hills, the local people struggle with a life that often lacks scruples and scruples apart from money. Settled policemen trying to do their jobs quietly, young businessmen trying to get rich quick and men with bad reputations trying to keep a low profile.
The city's fired lawyers are getting a reception they didn't expect. And Petr Cihlář has a lot more to worry about.
