Winter Emperor

The youngest son of the Emperor of the Elflands, half-goblin, has known nothing but a life of exile, far from the imperial court and its deadly intrigue. But when his father and three older brothers die in an airship “accident”, he has no choice but to take his place as the sole rightful heir to the throne.
Untutored in the art of court politics, with no friends or advisers, Maia knows only that the person who murdered his father and brothers could try to take his life at any moment.
Surrounded by sycophants who want to gain the naive young emperor's favour, and crushed by the weight of new responsibilities, he can trust no one. He is constantly alone, trying to make at least one friend... and cherishing the hope of finding love. Amidst plots to overthrow him, offers of arranged marriages and the spectre of unknown conspirators lurking in the shadows, he must adapt quickly to avoid losing his throne – or his life.
