Word 2003
The book introduces all novice users to Word 2003 from the new MS Office 2003 office suite in a readable way. The experienced author of many computer publications puts the main emphasis on explaining the basic principles of working with the program, although he does not neglect new features. The book is designed more like a textbook on Word, as it points out specific differences between Word 2003 and its older versions, starting with version 97. After an initial introduction to the program, you'll learn how to write text correctly and get an overview of how to edit it. You will then learn the basic principles of working with the document window, what you can do with text selection and what the Office clipboard can do. Great attention is paid to the formatting of the text - especially the appearance of fonts, bullets and paragraph numbering. The author will of course also introduce you to the thorny issue of tabs and tables and the often neglected topic of using styles. The book provides a variety of interesting topics, tips and tricks and is accompanied by practical examples that can be downloaded from www.grada.cz.
