Worm
Captain Marek Wolf returns to the scene and this time it won't be easy. In the woods on the outskirts of Bratislava, a case begins to unfold that makes no sense even to experienced criminologists. All that remains of the body is bones - and yet the victim is wearing the latest model of trainers. Wolf faces an investigation with no leads, no witnesses and no certainty that this is a single murder. With each new discovery, it becomes clear that someone was able to hide their crimes for years.
Into this, Wolf's personal life collapses. He tries to save his younger brother from their mother's manic lifestyle, but his efforts open old wounds rather than heal them. As he struggles to cope with his own problems, another brutal case emerges - a dead woman found in her apartment in a state that suggests a horrifying connection to previous findings.
In addition, his colleague Karol Lupták returns to the scene and has to come to terms with his own past in order to be able to investigate again. The case is not only a search for a killer, but also a probe into the lives of the investigators, their mistakes, weaknesses and hopes for second chances.
This dark detective story links several storylines and shows that behind brutal crimes there are often characters as complex as those who investigate them.
