Worse Than Death

Holly Kendrick’s husband died in a car accident, and Holly saw it happen. Her and her daughter’s whole life is turned upside down, but then an intermediary for the person responsible for the accident – a certain high-ranking man – suddenly appears with an offer that can’t be refused.

Holly and her daughter Savannah will be financially taken care of in their sudden distress. In exchange for their silence, of course. But when their new life in the fairytale-like Californian neighbourhood of Calabasas arouses the curiosity of their neighbours, their luxurious house of cards begins to crumble. Because Holly and Savannah aren’t the only ones with something to hide.

The novel Worse Than Death is told from the perspectives of a group of people who are seemingly unconnected – except by a crime and dangerous secrets. How far will each of them be willing to go to bury the truth about their past and protect their loved ones?
