Yes: Close To The Edge - LP
Yes is an English rock band that represents a musical movement called progressive rock.
The band was founded in London in 1968 by singer Jon Anderson and bassist Chris Squire.
Anderson has already recorded a single with The Warriors, a beat band founded by his brother Tony, and later sang several singles for Parlophone Records under the pseudonym Hans Christian. He was also a short member of the group Gun.
Squire was a member of The Son, and his style of bass guitar was strongly influenced by John Entwistl, a member of The Who.
Their first debut album, called Yes, was released on July 25, 1969. Anderson-Squire' s harmonic vocals immediately became the hallmark and trademark of the band' s sound.
