Fast and effective washing with the QuickPowerWash programme
The QuickPowerWash programme, combined with UltraTabs All in 1 tablets, delivers perfectly washed and dried dishes in approximately 58 minutes. The specially developed tablets dissolve in the MIELE G 5851 SCVi dishwasher within 2–3 minutes, so the cleaning action starts immediately, making the entire washing process highly effective from the very first moments.
Dishwasher with advanced AutoOpen drying
The AutoOpen technology automatically opens the door of the MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus dishwasher after the programme is complete. This allows the accumulated steam to escape naturally, helping to perfectly dry the dishes, including plastic items. A specially designed system also protects the worktop from moisture and, together with optimised airflow, ensures maximum drying efficiency in this model.
Comfort basket system for flexible dish arrangement
The Comfort system offers a practical and well-thought-out internal layout for the MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus dishwasher. The original Miele cutlery tray washes your cutlery thoroughly yet gently. The height-adjustable upper basket, in conjunction with the MultiComfort area in the lower basket, ensures a versatile arrangement for various types of dishes, so every item has a stable and secure place. In addition, the colourful FlexAssist elements help to quickly identify movable parts and make optimal use of the basket space.
FlexAssist for quick and easy basket adjustment
The FlexAssist marking shows which basket elements can be moved or adjusted to suit your current needs. Coloured symbols, such as a cup or wine glass, indicate how best to use that area. They also serve as practical handles, letting you instantly take advantage of the basket's full flexibility and conveniently adapt the space in the MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus dishwasher for different types of dishes.
3D-MultiFlex cutlery tray for maximum flexibility
The 3D-MultiFlex cutlery tray in the MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus dishwasher offers an improved layout for cutlery and small kitchen utensils. It consists of a lowered central section and two side sections that can be individually adjusted—the left section can be pushed to the right to make room for tall wine glasses in the upper basket, and the lowered right section can comfortably hold large cutlery and smaller items. This clever system lets you use every centimetre of the tray and ensures optimal washing and drying of all items, whether it's cutlery, espresso cups, or other small pieces.
The MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus holds up to 14 place settings
The MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus dishwasher comfortably holds up to 14 place settings. The baskets are designed for flexibility and efficiency, so every piece of dishware has its place and all items come out perfectly clean and dry. Thanks to the FlexAssist elements, storing cutlery and smaller items is quick, intuitive and highly practical.
Half load
The dishwasher automatically detects the amount of dishes loaded and adjusts the water and energy consumption in standard programmes to match the current load. Thanks to this smart optimisation, you can confidently wash smaller loads without having to wait for a full machine.
EcoPower technology for economical washing
The ECO programme reduces water consumption to just 8.4 litres, which also reduces the amount of energy needed for heating. Water is saved thanks to a sophisticated inflow system and a highly efficient filter system. Additional insulation minimises heat loss and, together with optimised water flow, contributes to even lower energy consumption and maximum washing efficiency.
The MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus washes exclusively with fresh water
The MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus uses only fresh water, and in the Automatic programme, it washes dishes with just 6 litres of water, which is less than the volume of a standard sink. This technology has reduced water consumption by up to 85% and also lowered electricity consumption. In the ECO programme, the dishwasher achieves a record low of just 0.52kWh, ensuring maximum energy and water savings.
Wash programmes for every occasion
The MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus offers a wide range of programmes and additional functions, covering various washing needs. The optional programmes ensure flexible and efficient washing for different types of dishes and situations—whether you need an economy cycle, an intensive wash, or a quick clean.
- Automatic – a universal programme suitable for normally soiled mixed dishes; adjusts washing parameters according to the level of soiling.
- ECO economy programme – with minimal water and energy consumption, ideal for everyday washing of normally used dishes.
- Intensive 75°C – a more powerful washing programme for durable and heavily soiled dishes, such as pots and pans.
- PowerWash 60°C – a fast and efficient programme for everyday dishes with normal food residues.
- QuickPowerWash – a programme for the best washing and drying results for normally soiled dishes in approximately 58 minutes; created from PowerWash 60°C with the additional Quick function.
- Gentle – a delicate programme for fine glassware and sensitive dishes.
- Express – an option to reduce the wash time by up to 50% for quick results with a smaller load.
- Extra clean – an optional function that boosts cleaning performance without compromising on wash quality.
- Extra dry – an option for more intensive drying, so even glasses and plastic items are dry at the end of the cycle.
ComfortClose for easy door opening and closing
The door of the MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus dishwasher opens and closes with exceptional ease, making it comfortable and effortless to handle. What's more, it remains stable in any position you choose – whether the door is slightly ajar for quick access to your dishes, or fully open when loading and unloading the baskets. This feature enhances convenience during daily dishwasher use.
Brilliant GlassCare for perfect glassware protection
The Brilliant GlassCare system ensures exceptionally gentle washing of delicate glassware. The Gentle programme runs at a low temperature of 45°C, so even thin glasses are protected throughout the entire wash cycle. Wine glasses can be safely placed in the FlexCare glass holder with silicone cushions, which holds them securely during the wash. After the programme finishes, the MIELE G 5851 SCVi's patented AutoOpen function automatically opens the door, allowing for natural drying without the need for subsequent hand-polishing. Precisely formulated detergents with a glass-protection formula also contribute to optimal care, keeping your glasses sparkling and free from damage.
The Miele dishwasher can be connected to a hot water supply
The MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus can be connected to a hot water supply of up to 60°C. This connection reduces electricity consumption by up to 35% and shortens the wash programme duration by up to 10%. In the ECO programme, the dishwasher's electricity consumption drops to as low as 0.29kWh, ensuring both environmentally friendly and economical operation.
MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus has a Waterproof system for maximum safety
The Waterproof System (WPS) is equipped with a second solenoid valve directly on the water tap, which automatically shuts off the water supply if the first valve fails. The double-walled inlet hose provides an additional layer of safety for the MIELE G 5851 SCVi dishwasher – if the inner hose is damaged, water is channelled through the outer hose into the dishwasher's sump, minimising the risk of water leaks and ensuring reliable and safe operation.
Tested for a 20-year lifespan
The MIELE dishwasher was tested during development to last for 20 years of regular use. During the testing phase, the model and its key components underwent 5600 wash cycles (equivalent to an average of 280 cycles per year for 20 years) across various programmes – day and night – to verify their reliability and long-term performance. Thanks to these thorough tests, you can be sure of excellent washing and drying results throughout the appliance's lifespan, year after year.
Effective against viruses – scientifically confirmed
The MIELE G 5851 SCVi Active Plus dishwasher offers a scientifically proven high level of hygiene. Over 99.9% of viruses are removed during the washing process, ensuring your dishes are safe and perfectly clean. This feature provides reliable protection and promotes a healthy home environment where hygiene is a priority.
