Barley (Hordeum vulgare) is one of the most widely grown cereals. Our barley is grown in the valley of the Austrian Alps. Sufficient moisture and mineral-rich soil provide optimal conditions for growing quality raw materials. It is harvested at a height of 15 - 20 cm above the ground. During this period, the plant accumulates the most nutrients in a form that is very well absorbed by the organism. Barley is a natural source of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, protein and the green dye chlorophyll. In addition, it is an antioxidant.

Effective composition

Contains B vitamins, vitamin C, E, K, H, choline, fiber, amino acids and beta-carotene. The lesser-known choline is the building block of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. A neurotransmitter is a substance that mediates neuromuscular signal transmission in the brain, so it is important for the proper functioning of the nervous system. It is rich in minerals: potassium, calcium, copper, iron, phosphorus or magnesium. It also contains 20 amino acids, including eight essential amino acids that our body cannot create on its own. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and are therefore essential for building cells, repairing damaged tissues and providing energy. The contained chlorophyll promotes the production of red blood cells, thus ensuring optimal oxygenation and nutrition of the cells. It improves the metabolism of cells in the body and thus the overall physical and mental condition. The substances contained in green barley, including fibre, can bind waste substances produced during metabolism and help improve digestion. Green barley is highly alkaline, maintaining the pH balance in the body, which can influence the development of a number of civilization diseases.
