The nJoy Keen 1000 backup power uses the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is the simplest form when power fails because it switches to the internal battery for electric power. The most important attribute is the UPS run time. This is governed by the energy consumption – for example, at half-load (50%), the run time lasts much longer. The load of the UPS determines the operating time, which at full load (100%) is 1 min and at half-load, it's 10 min. It is therefore necessary to estimate the power consumption of the connected electronics and it is best to add some spare power left. The nJoy Keen 1000 measures the apparent power as 1000, but with realistic use, the actual power usage is 600 W.
