What is Carnitine? Carnitine is a substance that occurs in 2 forms. Namely, D-carnitine, which is basically physiologically ineffective, or, on the contrary, L-carnitine in a desirable form. It is intrinsic to our body and very necessary. From natural sources, carnitine can be supplied to the body especially from red meat, especially beef and lamb, but in addition, carnitine is also contained in smaller amounts in fish or dairy products. Carnitine is formed in the body from the amino acids Lysine and Methionine with the help of vitamins (Niacin, Pyridoxine, and Vitamin C) and iron. If any of these substances are not present in the body, its production begins to stagnate.
Supporting energy performance and recovery in sport
- The main function of carnitine in the body is to transfer fatty acids (the components of fat) to the cells where they are used as a source of energy. Carnitine enhances performance by providing more fat as an energy source for the muscles, thus sparing muscle glycogen which can then be used during muscular exertion.
- Athletes believe that taking carnitine prior to athletic performance can help with weight loss, reducing the accumulation of waste products such as lactate in the muscles, thereby prolonging performance and ultimately speeding up the delivery of oxygen to the blood.

Recommended dosage
