Liquid antiseptic for wounds and mucous membranes. Suitable for repeated, supportive, antiseptic treatment of acute icteric wounds, surgical wounds, decubitus and burns. For antiseptic treatment of mucous membranes and their adjacent area for a maximum of 14 days.
Dosage and method of use
Application with a swab dipped in the product. Octenisept is used undiluted. Sufficient effectiveness is guaranteed for two hours after application.
Method of use
Use without medical assistance:
Octenisept can be used by children, adolescents and adults without medical consultation for the antiseptic treatment of intact skin, superficial wounds (such as abrasions, scratches, small cuts and burns). Octenisept can be used for aseptic treatment after insect bites etc.
Use on the advice of a physician:
Repeated, time-limited antiseptic treatment of burns and major injuries, like bedsores, tibial ulcers and postoperative scars, antiseptic vaginal rinses, of the cervix, disinfection of the glans penis (glans penis). Octenisept can be used for moist wound coverage.
Application by a doctor:
Preparatory treatment of mucous membranes and adjacent skin areas prior to genital and genitourinary surgical procedures, including urinary catheter insertion, and for repeated, time-limited removal of microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi in wounds to promote wound healing.
