Oro Verde Jergón Sacha capsules
A tropical plant, a species of aron, consisting of a single, gigantic and deeply divided leaf growing from an understory tuber on a long and thick stem resembling the trunk of a young tree. Ethnobotanically, it is considered a model plant, where the use is directly linked to the physical appearance of the plant. In this example, the scaly stem and mottled colouration of Jergon Sacha is very reminiscent of a venomous snake native to the same area. The pointed ends of the leaf resemble the venomous teeth of a snake.
