Orofar works against bacteria, viruses and fungi that cause infections of the mouth and throat. Orofar provides relief from pain in the throat and oral cavity. Orofar is used to relieve symptoms related to infection of the mouth and throat: sore throats associated with colds, pharyngitis or laryngitis, in the treatment of stomatitis (inflammation of the lining of the mouth), aphthae and gingivitis. Orofar can be used as an adjunctive treatment for angina.
Dosage and method of use
Children aged 4-11 years: Inject Orofar Spray 2 or 3 times into the affected area in the mouth or at the back of the mouth. Repeat as needed 3-6 times a day. The interval between doses should be at least 2-3 hours. Use only under adult supervision. Do not use in children who are unable to hold their breath when injecting the spray. Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: Inject the spray 4 times into the affected area in the oral cavity or at the back of the mouth. Repeat as needed 3-6 times daily, maintaining an interval of at least 2-3 hours between doses. Orofar Oral Spray, Solution is not indicated for the treatment of children under 4 years of age. Contraindications
Do not take Orofar if you are allergic to: Benzoxonium chloride or any of the other ingredients in this product and Lidocaine hydrochloride or to other local anaesthetics containing an amide group. Orofar should not be taken immediately before or during drinking and eating, as the effect of the local anaesthetic lidocaine may cause temporary numbness of the mouth and throat and thus affect swallowing. Do not eat or drink for as long as the numbness lasts.
