Pancreolan forte is used in digestive disorders due to insufficient or missing function of pancreatic digestive enzymes, in inflammatory and other diseases of the pancreas and in difficulties after surgery in the digestive tract. The product improves digestion in case of difficulties caused by dietary errors (for example, overeating or ingestion of hard-to-digest, fatty foods) and thus eliminates secondary manifestations of digestive disorders such as a feeling of fullness, bloating, flatulence or excessive fat in the stool.
Pancreolan forte contains digestive enzymes, the production and release of which are bound due to pancreatic disease, so long-term enzyme replacement is necessary.
This treatment does not eliminate the causes of the disease, but restores digestion (removes the urge to vomit, a feeling of fullness, bloating, flatulence, diarrhea and fat in the stool).
It improves digestion by breaking down fats, sugars and proteins in the food you eat. In these cases, the medicine can be taken without a doctor's recommendation.
The preparation is suitable for the treatment of children from 3 years of age, adolescents and adults.
Dosage and method of use
Always take this medicine in accordance with the package insert. Always take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Tablets should not be chewed or crushed as this may cause premature release of enzymes that could cause irritation of the oral mucosa and/or decrease the effectiveness of the enzyme.
The dosage is individual, depending on the severity of the disease, the dosage should be determined by the doctor when first used. The goal of treatment is to achieve a normal weight and to correct stool and digestive problems.
In the treatment of difficulties from dietary errors, 2 enterosolvent tablets are administered either once or for a short period (1-3 days) after a smaller meal, 3-4 enterosolvent tablets after a larger meal.
For pancreatic insufficiency, 2 enterosolvent tablets are taken after a lighter meal, 3-4 enterosolvent tablets after a larger meal. Depending on the type of food and known or suspected digestive problems, the dose may be increased further after consultation and under the supervision of a physician.
Always administer to children only on the advice of a doctor! Children from 3 years of age usually take an enterosolvent tablet 3 times a day. Tablets can be swallowed by children from 3 years of age.
Contraindications
If you experience any of the following serious side effects occurring
with unknown frequency, stop taking Pancreolan forte and contact your physician immediately.
Serious hypersensitivity reactions:
breathing difficulties or dizziness leading to a state of shock;
hives; swelling of different parts of the body, most often in the face or neck (angioedema).
Adverse effects that may further occur with unknown frequency (frequency cannot be determined from available
data):
high levels of uric acid in the urine (hyperuricosuria) when taking high doses;
- disorders of the digestive tract:
ileus (bowel obstruction) and constipation have been reported in children with cystic
fibrosis (an inherited disease affecting the exocrine glands, particularly in the lungs and digestive
the gastrointestinal tract), especially if they've been treated with high doses of pancreatic enzymes, Vomiting, irritation of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, abdominal pain, diarrhea, itching in the rectal area, Extensive
narrowing of the intestines;
- increased concentration of uric acid in the blood.
In patients with cystic fibrosis who take high pancreatin preparations, the following has been reported
impaired intestinal patency (fibrosing colonopathy).

Do not take Pancreolan forte if you are allergic to the medicine or to any of the other ingredients in this medicine.
Do not take Pancreolan forte in acute pancreatitis and in the acute phase of chronic inflammation.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before taking this medicine.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women can take the product only on the recommendation of a doctor!
Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the packaging after the abbreviation EXP. Time expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated. Store at temperatures up to 25 °C in the original inner packaging to protect the product from moisture. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment the environment.
