PARALEN 500mg tablets are designed to reduce fever during flu, colds and other infectious diseases. The product is also suitable for pain of various origins, e.g. for headaches, toothaches, painful menstruation, back pain, and musculoskeletal pain accompanying flu and colds.
What's mum's advice for a cold or the flu?
- Sleep is very important for the body's regeneration, especially during pain or fever from a cold or flu. To help you breathe better while sleeping, prop your head or upper body up with an extra pillow. This position helps to open the airways and relieves congestion.
- Fluids taken during a common cold prevent dehydration. Every mother knows this secret. For example, ginger tea has beneficial properties that have been known to humankind for centuries.
- Soup can relieve a stuffy nose. A hot broth full of vegetables, with a pinch of pepper and garlic, will help to drive the cold out of your body.
- Fruit and vegetables provide vitamins and minerals. Research shows that vitamins C and D, as well as zinc and echinacea, have a beneficial effect on our immune system.
- Steaming can help clear congested sinuses and relieve an irritating or persistent cough. Pour hot water into a pot, put a towel over your head and inhale the steam. Take a hot shower before bed. The steam will help you to clear congested sinuses.

Dosage and method of use
Ingredients
PARALEN 500mg tablets are the clear choice for pain and fever. Paracetamol, the active substance in PARALEN 500mg tablets, works against pain and reduces fever. Other ingredients are pregelatinised maize starch, povidone 30, croscarmellose sodium and stearic acid.
Contraindications
Due to the amount of active substance in the tablet, the product is not intended for children under 6 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this product. If necessary, you can take Paralen 500mg tablets during pregnancy. Use the lowest possible dose that relieves your pain and/or fever and use it for the shortest possible time. If the pain and/or fever do not improve or if you need to take the medicine more often, contact your doctor. Breastfeeding women may use the product for 1 day; for longer than 1 day, they may only use the product after consulting a doctor.
Storage
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Store at a temperature up to 25°C in the original packaging, keep the blister in the box to protect the product from light. Do not use this product after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging after the abbreviation EXP. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures help to protect the environment.
Warning
Read the package leaflet carefully. The active substance paracetamol is contained in a number of different medicines, be careful when combining them. Do not take more than one medicine containing paracetamol at the same time. Do not drink alcohol during treatment.
