Indications and use
Target animal species: males (small and medium size). Treatment of mixed infections caused by roundworms and flatworms in adult dogs and puppies:
Coughs:Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult and near-adult stages)
Bagmen: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults)
Template:Taenia spp., Dipylidium caninum
Contraindications
Do not co-administer with piperazine-containing products. Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to the medicinal substance or to any of the excipients of this product. Do not exceed the recommended dose when treating pregnant females.
Dosage
Oral administration. Food restrictions are not necessary either before or after administration. The tablets can be given directly to the dog or disguised in the food. The recommended dose is 15 mg of febantel, 14.4 mg of pyrantel and 5 mg of praziquantel, i.e. 1 tablet per 35 kg live weight. Tablets can be halved to achieve an accurate dose. To ensure the correct dose, the live weight must be determined as accurately as possible. To suppress roundworms, the bitch must be overmedicated 2 weeks after puppy litter and every 2 weeks until the puppies are weaned. In case of severe roundworm infection, a repeat dose should be given after 14 days. A single dose at 3 monthly intervals is recommended for routine follow-up.
