Hunter Nordby Jacket for Dachshunds 33 cm

The Hunter Nordby jacket is designed to protect dogs from bad weather during the spring and autumn months. The outer layer repels water, while the inner fleece lining provides cosy warmth. The special cut for dachshunds and other breeds with longer bodies respects their anatomy and does not restrict their movement. A high collar and enclosed belly section increase protection against the cold and wet. The size corresponds to a back length of 33cm and an adjustable chest circumference of 31–51cm.

A cut adapted to specific breeds

The jacket has a cut developed specifically for the needs of dachshunds and dogs with a longer body shape. The high collar covers the neck well and the enclosed belly section protects sensitive areas from getting cold. You can easily adjust the chest circumference using the adjustable elastic belly strap, which fastens with a buckle. To keep the jacket in place even during active movement, it is equipped with elastic loops at the back that are slipped over the dog's hind legs.

Functional materials and practical details

The combination of materials provides protection in rainy and cold weather. The outer polyester layer is water-repellent and waterproof, so your dog stays dry. On the inside, the jacket has a warm fleece lining that insulates heat. On the back, there is an opening for attaching a lead to a collar or harness. This opening is covered by a waterproof two-way zip, which prevents moisture from getting under the jacket.

Safety and easy care

For better visibility at dusk or in poor light conditions, the jacket features reflective elements for increased safety. These make your dog clearly visible to drivers and cyclists. Caring for the jacket is very simple. If it gets dirty, it can be machine washed on a gentle cycle up to 30°C, without using fabric softener.

Note: The key to choosing the right size is to measure your dog while it is standing. The back length is determined from the withers to the base of the tail. The chest and neck circumference should be measured at their widest point. It is a good idea to add a reserve of at least a few centimetres to the measured dimensions so the jacket is not too tight. A correctly fitting jacket does not restrict the dog's movement or dig in, but at the same time is not unnecessarily loose.
