Natural substrate for a healthy aquarium

The fine grain size of JBL Sansibar RIVER sand, up to 3mm, is ideal for fish that search for food at the bottom. Its rounded grains are gentle on the barbels of Corydoras catfish and other bottom-dwellers. As the substrate is chemically neutral, it does not release any unwanted substances into the water. This means it does not alter water parameters such as total hardness or pH value, making it easier to maintain a stable environment in the aquarium.
