Freeze Dried

Freeze drying is the most advanced food processing technology. Its advantage is preservation of maximum food value - content of vitamins, proteins and other nutritional substances without any preservatives. The principle of the technology is to freeze food in a vacuum at a temperature of -40 °C, which leads to the sublimation of water. The food thus retains its nutritional value, taste, aroma and appearance.

Glycerin Free - without glycerin

Glycerin is commonly contained in high amounts in the so-called. dried meat treats, where it acts as a preservative, tenderizer and flavouring. As a food ingredient, it is labeled E 422. Glycerol or glycerin is mildly poisonous. In smaller doses, it causes headaches, stomach upset and vomiting. In larger doses, it can cause liver damage. The lowest toxic dose administered orally in humans is approximately 1.5 g/kg live weight. In medicine, it is used as part of enemas and suppositories. Monitor the glycerine content of treats and avoid treats with high glycerine content.
