The Repti Planet Pro Bio Activ bioactive substrate creates a self-sufficient ecosystem in the terrarium. The base is made from 100% natural ingredients, combining light peat, sand, sphagnum moss and pine bark. The mixture promotes the growth of beneficial microorganisms that contribute to the natural cleaning of the terrarium. The substrate retains moisture, creating a stable microclimate for lizards, amphibians and reptiles. At the same time, it provides suitable conditions for growing live plants.

Use and Disposal

Thanks to its composition of light peat, sand, sphagnum moss and pine bark, it is also suitable for growing plants, promoting their growth. Each component of the substrate is important and useful for several reasons. The combination of the individual components increases, among other things, the ability to retain water and moisture, which is essential for species requiring such conditions. Peat is rich in decomposing organic materials, while sphagnum moss is an invaluable aid during ecdysis, the shedding of the top layer of skin, and not just in snakes.

Ingredients:

Instructions for Use:
Pour approximately 3–5cm onto the bottom of the terrarium, spread it out and maintain optimal moisture (depending on the species being kept). Recommended replacement 1× a year or as needed.
Recommendation:
To enhance the bioactive processes, it is recommended to add activated charcoal to the substrate.
