Powerful 280W Two-Way Stereo
The Philips The Tube uses an active 2-way stereo system with a maximum output of 280W and 140W RMS. Two 5.25" drivers work with separate tweeters and an active crossover that splits the high and low frequencies. A pair of passive radiators supports deep bass reproduction. For outdoor listening, there is a Moving Sound mode, which enhances bass and adapts the sound to the open space. The speaker's frequency range is 50Hz to 20kHz.
Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast and the Philips Entertainment App
Bluetooth 6.0 with Multipoint allows two devices to be connected to the speaker at the same time. Auracast technology allows you to broadcast the music being played to other compatible speakers and supports the LC3 codec. External devices can also be connected via USB-C to take advantage of digital audio transmission. The Philips Entertainment app offers control of the Moving Sound mode, setting animations and wallpapers for the colour display, firmware updates and linking speakers via Auracast. The colour display shows track information and offers retro animations of cassettes, vinyl records or an equaliser.
Up to 24 Hours of Listening, IP67 and Light Effects
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 24 hours of playback and can be replaced at the end of its life. A quick 15-minute charge provides up to 3.5 hours of playback, while a full charge takes approximately 3 hours. The integrated power bank allows you to charge your phone via the speaker. The IP67 rating ensures protection against dust and water, and an integrated handle along with a detachable shoulder strap makes it easy to carry. The LED light rings can be synchronised with the music or switched between Neon Stage, Crowd Pulse, Arcade Glitch and Bassline modes.
