Essential III is an entry-level turntable for aspiring audiophiles. Compared to its successful predecessor, it offers a number of improvements. It features diamond-cut aluminium drive belts, a resonance-optimized MDF platter and an MDF plinth. Compared to Essential II, the platter bearing has a significantly reduced tolerance. Essential III features a high-quality Ortofon OM10 cartridge for a vibrant, balanced and highly impressive sound that will please any vinyl fan.

Raw sound

A silent synchronous motor and its power regulation effectively minimize vibration and velocity deviations. The Pro-Ject Essential III recorder's clean sound is supported by a silicone belt and an aluminium arm with a sapphire bearing. Unwanted resonance is taken care of by the plinth, which is made of light but very solid chipboard. The resulting sound is a raw reproduction without any unwanted interference.
