Omega-3 from a super-pure source - krill living in the ocean around Antarctica, where the world's cleanest seawater is found. Omega-3s are obtained using the Ecoharvest method, which minimizes unwanted catch when other marine animals are caught (as is common in fisheries, which are the most common source of omega-3 products). The krill used to produce Omega-3 Puhdistamo lives in the seas far from refineries and large shipping operations, so the resulting product maintains a high level of purity. Properties of omega-3 fatty acids
The properties of omega-3 fatty acids are related to overall physical and mental fitness, and their proper ratio in the diet is essential for the proper functioning of the body. In addition to the omega-3 fatty acids themselves, they also contain phosphatidylcholine (the active form of choline) and choline, which is a B vitamin and whose properties are related to cognitive function, as well as astaxanthin, an important antioxidant that also acts as a natural colouring agent - hence the red colour of the capsules.
