Sporák je určený k zapojení na 3 fáze. 230V je napětí mezi fází a zemí, 400V je napětí mezifázové. Na jednofázovém vedení tedy lze naměřit pouze 230V, na vícefázovém vedení lze naměřit mezi fázemi 400V, ale napětí mezi jednou každou fází a zemí je stále 230V. Lidově se v Česku označuje jednofázové 230V a třífázové 400V ale technicky je to vlastně také 230V, jen ve více fázích.
