Aby přísavka co nejvíce držela, je třeba zajistit, aby byla ona sama i povrch, na který ji dáváte, co nejčistější a bez mastnot. Na sklo můžete použít okenu nebo jiný odmašťovač a přísavku, pokud už přišla do styku s nějakým povrchem, také řádně očistěte. Ale jako každý materiál i tyto přísavky časem ztrácí svoje původní vlastnosti vlivem prostředí a slunečního záření. Správnou údržbou a čištěním můžete ale životnost prodloužit.
