Regulax picosulfate is a topical laxative for short-term use. It is indicated without a physician's recommendation for the short-term treatment of constipation and on the recommendation of a physician for conditions requiring easy emptying (preparation for X-ray or endoscopic examinations).
Dosage and method of use
Unless otherwise recommended by a physician, adults and children 12 years of age and older take 14-27 drops, children 4 years and older take 7-14 drops daily. The effect occurs after 10-20 hours, so it is best to take the drug in the evening before going to bed, in order to flush it out in the morning. Without a doctor's recommendation, use only short-term.
Contraindications
Regulax picosulfate must not be used in case of known hypersensitivity to the medicinal substance sodium picosulfate, to triarylmethane, or to other components of the preparation. It must not be taken in severe dehydration, constipation associated with other problems, such as pain abdominal pain, Vomiting, fever, intestinal obstruction, acute infection in the abdominal cavity or bloating without passing gas, etc. The product should not be administered to children under 4 years of age, children under 10 years of age should only be administered in consultation with a physician. Read the package insert carefully.

The use of laxatives should always be short-term! Long-term use increases the risk of developing severe constipation.
The use of the product is recommended only in cases where the desired effect has not been achieved by adjusting your diet (increasing the proportion of fibre or increasing fluid intake) or changing your lifestyle (increasing physical activity).
In diseases associated with a disturbance of the ion balance in the body (e.g. serious kidney disease), Regulax picosulfate may be used only under medical supervision.
The product is not intended for administration to children under 4 years of age.
Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and bottle after "Use by:". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. ¨ Do not dispose of any medicinal products in sewage or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
