RICOH GR IV Compact Camera
A digital camera in a slimmer design with 5-axis stabilisation
The RICOH GR IV digital camera in an elegant black compact design is equipped with a new 28mm equivalent lens and an APS-C sensor with a resolution of 25.74Mpx. Compared to previous models, it is slimmer, offers advanced autofocus and 5-axis image stabilisation. The new powerful image processor brings an overall acceleration of the system and more precise focusing. The camera can handle multiple subjects in the frame, and the 5-axis stabilisation replaces the previous 3-axis solution with compensation of up to 6 EV. The RICOH GR IV has many functions and modes and supports video recording in Full HD resolution at 60, 30 and 24 frames per second. The f/2.8 aperture combined with a fixed focal length contributes to high image sharpness. Control is provided by a 3.0" LCD and the GR WORLD mobile app with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for easy image transfer.

Digital Camera with APS-C Sensor and GR ENGINE 7 Processor
The RICOH GR IV compact digital camera is equipped with a new APS-C BSI CMOS sensor with a resolution of 25.74Mpx. The backlit design contributes to improved image quality and effectively reduces noise in low light. The sensor, in conjunction with the GR ENGINE 7 image processor, ensures a fast start-up of approximately 0.6 seconds and stable performance even at high ISO values up to 204,800. 14-bit DNG or JPEG image formats are available.
Fast Focusing and Full Press Snap Function
With its new powerful processor, the digital camera offers noticeably faster and more accurate autofocus. The difference is particularly noticeable when tracking moving subjects and when recognising faces. When detecting multiple faces, the camera correctly identifies the main subject. The Full Press Snap function is useful for quick snapshots – it allows for instant refocusing to a pre-selected distance, even via the touch screen.
Features and Modes of the RICOH GR IV Camera
The compact RICOH GR IV offers a wide range of functions and photographic modes:
- Image Control function – choose from up to 12 preset modes
- Save your own profile – adjust saturation, contrast, grain and other parameters
- Snap Distance Priority AE mode – work with depth of field and exposure
- Auto Ex programme – quickly switch between aperture and shutter priority
- B. I. S. stabilisation – simulates the effect of an AA filter when unwanted optical phenomena occur
- Multiple exposure with no limit on the number of shots
- Advanced exposure metering – multi-segment, centre-weighted, spot and highlight-weighted metering
Compact Camera with 28 mm Lens with f/2.8 Aperture
The new lens offers smaller dimensions, lower weight and faster focusing response. The digital compact camera retains a fixed focal length of 28mm, an f/2.8 aperture and an optical design with 7 elements in 5 groups. Macro mode allows focusing from as close as 6cm, while the built-in ND filter reduces exposure by 2 EV for easier work with depth of field and longer exposure times.
The RICOH GR IV has a Compact Body, a New Battery and Better Connectivity
The GR IV is slimmer than its predecessors, yet retains a lightweight and strong magnesium construction. A significant change is the new DB-120 battery with a battery life of up to 250 shots. The internal memory has been increased to 53GB and a memory card is inserted via a microSD slot. Data transfer is provided by a USB-C connector and the GR WORLD mobile app. Images and settings are displayed on a 3.0" LCD with a resolution of 1.04 million dots and an anti-reflective coating.
