I bought this monitor for my PC for gaming and work (programming, Excel, etc.) and I have to say that the picture, brightness and refresh rate are superb. Despite two annoying things (see below), I find the price/performance ratio to be good.
- The monitor's designer decided to recess the VESA mount. This wouldn't be such a problem if they hadn't recessed it so well that you can't attach the VESA adapter and then slide it onto the sleeve part of the VESA arm (in my case, the AlzaErgo Arm DE30 Pylon). So, you have to mount the entire adapter, including the sleeve, and then somehow slide and attach the monitor in one go, which I personally find very impractical. If you were planning to move the monitor between different mounts/workstations, this certainly wouldn't be a one-off complication. - Much more annoying is the status LED, which can't be permanently turned off. The settings do allow you to turn it off when the monitor is in use, but for some reason, the monitor doesn't remember this setting after you turn off your PC, and the LED pulses continuously until you turn the PC back on. They certainly didn't skimp on the LED's brightness, but covering the diode with electrical tape solves the problem.
