The TV was recommended by Google's AI as ideal, or at least one of the suitable options, for when the signal source is a Vodafone set-top box (client) with an HDMI output, and the desired outcome is for the TV's own system to be as hidden as possible and not interfere with the user experience (for a senior citizen). It genuinely delivers on this, while the Google TV functions remain available. When in HDMI input mode, the channel switching on the set-top box works correctly with the TV remote, which is another plus. The remote control uses a NEC-type protocol in IR mode, another plus point, as a learning remote for seniors has no trouble with the NEC code (unlike the set-top box's RC-MM code).

Asterisk down for the fact that Projectivy Launcher cannot be set as default. It always resets to the original Google Launcher after a reboot. Fortunately, by turning on the "apps only" mode in the account settings and blocking all TCL apps via ADB, I have achieved a state that is acceptable to me. No ads for streaming services, no Google video rental, no YouTube viewing queue.
Image quality matches the price
Bluetooth controller
In "app only" mode without ads
Bundled software, can't replace the default launcher
