Over the past year, I’ve been looking for a replacement for my 9-year-old Samsung UE55MU7002, and various Samsung and TCL models had either a poorer picture quality or one that was comparable across different inputs. Suddenly, the screen on my Samsung went blank and that was that, so there was no time left to speculate; I’d been avoiding LG for ages, but thanks to the sales, the price dropped below 21,000 CZK (before Christmas it was still around 32,000), so I gave it a go and I don’t regret it one bit – the picture is detailed and fast, and it’s brilliant in gaming mode too; I’m still getting used to the Magic controller, but I usually only pick it up to switch the TV on and off.
