I must have gotten a bad copy, box came with the plastic open - one black hair stuck between the cardboard "arms" as for the mouse itself - the shape is decent (if maybe not pronounced enough at the points you're actually supposed to grip it at {image attached as to how I gripped it and how I presume it is to be gripped in accordance to the curvature of the mouse}) but nowhere near as good as the R80 plus (I pulled it out of an older box of mice just for this review :>) which, despite it's significantly shorter length is actually suited for larger hands (almost 2cm wider at it's widest point than the W60 Max, in this occasion it's length is not really of concern as you can't palm the w60 Max because the hump is too short - both claw grip nice in my experience), the W60 Max is very thin and flat approaching (to the sides of) the clicks forcing your ring and pinky fingers to sit further back because it isn't rounded at all until farther back, the thumb side is pretty much perfect but the ring and pinky side leaves more to be desired especially for an ergo. I am of the opinion they use firmware interpolation for 2kHz as it went really badly on my Linux install like forcing my mouse downward when moving it fast enough when over 1k (doesn't happen on any of my ~12 high polling rate mice - which poll at 8k and report properly, in accordance to my dpi (e.g if I'm on 24000DPI they'll report nearly at 8kHz flat, on 400DPI it depends on motion {report rate and polling rate is not the same thing for those who don't know I'm just clarifying so someone doesn't think it's a me issue}) exclusively a thing of this mouse, the R80 doesn't do it but I presume this isn't much of an issue on windows. on >1000hz I experienced pretty severe sensor jitter on small movements, which I thought could be due to RGB being a constantly shifting rainbow and messing with the way the sensor perceives the surfaces I used it on, but I couldn't find a way to turn it off entirely without installing their software and have no way of figuring out what's wrong with it without voiding warranty, the tampering seal on the bottom was almost peeling off when I opened it, it's probably a side effect of the current heat but worth mentioning, no side creak or side flex (solid construction), back to the sensor I experienced a lot of motion delay ~10ms on all polling rates, LOD options are okay, cable is pretty decent actually - I'm bored of writing, shape comparison to R80 plus attached as an image, wouldn't buy and I am returning it
shape isn't bad but forces a certain grip
not extremely suited to large hands
large enough, I claw grip anyway
cable is pretty good
I like bloody as a company
aluminum skates are great
clicks are fine, side buttons are fine
2kHz is likely firmware interpolation
shape narrows too early
length in the dimensions of the mouse is exaggerated a little due to the right click flaring out about 0.5cm further than the left
horrible sensor, in comparison even the old R80 plus is infinitely superior
box came with it's plastic cover opened and had weird gunk on the cover
hair stuck between cardboard box opening
sensor jitter, sensor motion delay
do not recommend at all on any Linux distro due to some packet sending tomfoolery, there's fixes for it somewhere online but considering the recent AUR hacks you should be careful
this is pathetic from bloody and I hope I just got a bad copy
adhesive on tamper seal on the bottom of the mouse nearly peeling off
don't use on glass due to aluminum skates
kind of a pile of crap
only LOD and polling rate shifting on the bottom of the mouse, DPI on top but you don't get to know the actual numbers so it's a guessing game
again very disappointed in bloody who's mice I have normally had great experiences with :(
scroll wheel feels nearly 'notch-less' (not tactile at all, muddy - it's just a subpar scroll wheel encoder in my opinion but this is personal preference for me)
