If you’re looking for a drive for everyday work backups, fast copying and working directly from an SSD backup, it’s quite good and fully adequate. It probably won’t be suitable for BOOT; it’s not a USB stick.

If you're looking for an external SSD for secondary OS purposes (dual boot), it's not really suited for that, at least the controller can't set a higher speed with Asus UEFI and the bootloader reads very slowly at about 0.3MB/s.
