I don't know who came up with this, but it's brilliant. My cat took to it very quickly. Instead of her climbing on my desk, I can put her in the bed and she lies there nicely and sleeps. Assembly is really easy, it's like a monitor arm. The cover itself can be taken off and thrown in the washing machine. The only thing I'd criticise is that the arm itself is quite low. If you had more cats, you'd need more arms. Also that Alza doesn't sell additional beds or covers for it. And my criticisms of the product are really more nit-picking than actual functional problems.

Overall, I’m satisfied; the construction is sturdy and looks as though it’ll last – so far, it hasn’t budged an inch. It’s great that you can rotate the bed in different directions. But I was expecting the bed to be bigger and of a higher quality. The underside is just a panel; it could have been black. The bedding can also be removed and washed; in any case, I’d appreciate a spare set so that I can replace just the bedding in due course, or as an optional extra. The bed might be a different size, but perhaps it’ll be better in time.
