A well-designed way to switch between ANC, no ANC and "transparent mode" – it lets you hear ambient sounds (useful when your wife wants to talk to you)
A terrible battery. After two months of fairly light use: I unplug it from the charger (the PC shows it’s 100% charged; it’s been charging for about a day), and after less than an hour it switches off unexpectedly without warning and the red LED lights up. That’s not really how I picture wearing headphones for a whole working day.
You cannot check the battery level whilst wearing the headphones. Other models say "battery level is X per cent" or "low battery", but this thing shows 80 or even 90 per cent in the list of Bluetooth devices and then suddenly switches off out of the blue. It's a piece of crap. Well. The "Alza" brand – just what you'd expect.

I'm waiting for replacement parts for Sony headphones, so I bought these. Ideal for home use for the money, good sound and battery life,. I wouldn't take ANC for train/MHD, it doesn't work enough (like it still mutes something, but compared to more expensive ones it's shite).
If you catch the backend discounts like I did, there's nothing better for ~500. It may not even be worth the 1,000, but I can't say for sure.
