It's an absolutely amazing voice assistant. You may struggle a bit at the beginning to set up your location to make Spotify work, but there are plenty of instructions online on how to do it, so no problem. Spotify works fine. There are two of us in the household and to avoid interfering with each other's Spotify we just tell Alexa to switch to the "name" account. And you'll have your Spotify on there.
It's the best gift ever. I'm learning French too and it's a great tool to practice everything(speaking, comprehension etc). I highly recommend it. Very good sound too. And a lot of features, you just have to figure it out.
