I bought this processor as an upgrade from the Ryzen 7 5700X and, with the default settings (only the memory set to 3200 via XMP), there was essentially no difference at all in terms of memory bandwidth, whether for RAM or all three caches. From this perspective, the upgrade in question seems unnecessary and a waste of money. With the OC, it runs smoothly at the advertised 4.8GHz, delivering a touch more performance than the 5700X, but nothing so significant that I’d ever carry out a similar upgrade again.
