Unfortunately, the device cannot be used without logging in to the ScanTalker’s E-Transmission programme. It won’t translate anything. It keeps referring to running this programme on a PC; on the manufacturer’s website, there is a video showing a man or a woman opening the programme and entering the login IP address and the code found on the device into a table. Unfortunately, this programme is not available for download anywhere, not even on the manufacturer’s website. So I'll be returning it. God only knows what sort of distribution that is. And just as an aside, the Wi-Fi works fine, but it won’t connect via Bluetooth for the life of me. Tested on three PCs and two laptops. Big disappointment.
It’s well made, and that’s about it.
Without a connection to an online translator, it’s just a piece of metal.
