I bought it to keep cool whilst working in the upstairs room, which doesn’t have air conditioning. However, even at its lowest setting, this cooler blows a relatively strong draught and therefore needs to be placed further away. It’s quite noisy at higher speeds, but you won’t be using it to cool just one person. In the end, I returned it and replaced it with the Siguro Aura Tower D100W WiFi (see the review there), which can also run at a lower power setting (when less cooling is needed) and is quieter at that lower power setting.
