I have two smaller lazybones under 5kg and for them, this scratching post is absolutely ideal. It's not a miracle for sharpening claws, but it's sufficient; we prefer to clip their claws anyway. The ‘scoop’ for lying on is just the right size, as are the little houses and all the resting areas.
If I had more boisterous cats, or a cat over 5kg, I would probably choose a sturdier scratching post. Considering its height, the not-so-large base plate, and the thickness of the posts, the scratching post is relatively stable. It can be screwed to the wall thanks to the strap, wall plug, and screw that are included in the package.
It was fine to assemble, the instructions were clear and easy to understand. The box could be made into a little house.
