For my high-spec setup with the R7800 X3D and an UWQHD monitor, I’ve got an AMD graphics card (Asus Prime RX 9070), but for my children’s Full HD gaming, I opted for an NVIDIA card instead – and I don’t regret it one bit. If this were a setup I were to use as my main PC, I’d even consider the B580, but for my child’s computer, I want to be sure that everything will be fine and free of unnecessary complications, even in X years’ time
Price/performance/fuel consumption
For Full HD gaming at a price of around 7,000 Kč, there’s no better choice. You won’t find anything with more than 8 GB of VRAM (Intel’s B580 is certainly an interesting option, but there’s no guarantee of future software support). The 8 GB version of AMD’s 9060XT is more expensive, and Nvidia’s AI assistants are gaining ever greater support in games, so buying the 5050 – which is a few hundred cheaper – is a daft idea
I always choose Asus GK for my builds whenever possible. I can’t see any reason not to pay an extra 300 Kč and have an Asus in my computer, rather than ‘saving’ that money and putting in a plastic Palit or Gainward – which are basically one and the same – or some Kentus
