It's not entirely suitable for spiders with longer legs. Biolit uses the same substances that also work on insects, like cockroaches – one substance is supposed to stun and kill, the other to have a long-term effect. However, unlike cockroaches, these long-legged blighters don't have as much contact with the surface they're crawling on. At 4am, I found a spider on the wall the size of an adult hand (its body was actually about the size of a 20-crown coin). After about 15 seconds of continuous spraying, it was still twitching. After another 10 seconds or so, it stopped doing even that. By the time I came back with a brush, it had disappeared, leaving only a huge stain on the wall from the Biolit, which is now gradually fading. Although I believe it's dead and just fell behind the radiator, I'm still shaking a bit and won't be sleeping peacefully.
Brilliant for smaller spiders.
